Men remanded on drug charges

TWO local men have appeared at Newry Magistrates' Court in relation to a number of drug offences.
Before the court on Monday were Aaron Drever, 28, of Tyross Gardens, Armagh, and Philip McDonald, 29, of Newry Street, Markethill. Each faces four charges - being concerned in producing a Class A drug, possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, possessing a Class C controlled drug and possessing a Class A controlled drug.
Both were remanded in custody to appear again at Armagh Magistrates' Court on November 4.
It is understood the charges relate to a number of searches in the Markethill area on Friday night.
