Murder detectives revisit crime scene

Mrs Eileen Corrigan.
DETECTIVES investigating the murder of 62-year-old Eileen Corrigan, whose body was found at her home at Boyds Row in Armagh, revisited the scene last Thursday as part of their enquiries.
Mrs Corrigan was found dead by a friend on Monday, October 6, and police believe she was dead for at least two days before she was found.
A murder investigation was launched and a post mortem examination was carried out.
Detectives made an appeal for information, asking members of the public to come forward if they had seen the deceased before October 6.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Debbie McMaster, thanked the community for their assistance.
“We have had a number of calls following our appeal last week and myself and my officers are very pleased with the response," she said. "However, we still need witnesses to come forward.
“One of our lines of enquiry is that this may have been a burglary or robbery gone wrong that tragically resulted in Eileen's death. Another line of enquiry at this stage is that she may have known the person that killed her.
“Eileen was a quiet, unassuming, frail woman, who had lost her husband 12 years ago. She had a daughter who lived in England, who returned home again following the news of her mother's death".
The detective said more enquiries would be made in the Boyds Row area and made another appeal for information.
