Home Bargains set to create up to 100 jobs

HOME Bargains at Railway Retail Park in Armagh is expected to open its doors "by the summer" giving the area a major jobs boost of up to 100 positions, the Ulster Gazette can reveal.
Work is currently underway at the former Tesco site which was bought over by Home Bargains last spring after the national retailer put the complex up for sale.
Now nearly a year later, sources close to the scheme have revealed the planned opening is in its final stage, although Home Bargains has still yet to confirm if it will occupy the entire retail park, or will be the first of a number of retailers to open.
Regardless, the development appears to cement Armagh's growing reputation as an attractive location for major retail names, as well-known coffee brand, Caffe Nero revealed that it is opening an outlet in the city centre last week.
The coffee house, which is due to open by the end of April, will be situated at the Gazette Arcade and will create seven jobs.
A number of independent businesses have also opened their doors in the city in recent weeks. With the uncertainty of Brexit looming over the country the new openings and increased job prospects for locals is a real vote of confidence in Armagh as being a great place to do business.
