Classic connection for Irwin Electrical and Golf Club thumbnailFrom the picturesque 18th green, County Armagh Golf Club launch their ladies and gents Open Four-ball Classic competition, sponsored by Irwin M&E Limited

COUNTY Armagh Golf Club have announced Irwin M&E Limited as the main sponsor for their annual Open 4-Ball Classic Competition on Friday, May 19.

Irwin M&E is a local company delivering electrical and mechanical installations in UK and Ireland. The company also provide integrated electrical and mechanical maintenance and testing FM Services.

The County Armagh Golf Club Fundraising Classic will see four-balls compete on one of the oldest courses in Ireland for men's, women and mixed team prizes of upwards of 1,000.

Announcing details of the sponsorship, County Armagh Golf Club Captain Richard Stewart, said:

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome on board Irwin M&E as our main sponsor for this special competition.

“Fundraising now plays an important part in supporting clubs and the financial assistance provided by local businesses is very much appreciated by members.

“The Irwin sponsored Classic Competition will undoubtedly help boost County Armagh Golf Club coffers, but it also affords us an opportunity to showcase our magnificent woodland course and clubhouse to visitors from far and wide."

Irwin's Managing Director Keith Stewart said:

“We are delighted to be sponsoring the County Armagh Classic golf competition.

“While our work may take us the length and breadth of Ireland and mainland UK, our roots are very much in the local community and we endeavour to support fund-raising events of this nature when we can."

The golf competition on Friday, May 19 will be followed by a meal in the clubhouse for all participants, prize-giving and music by the popular Blues band The Preacher Caseys.
