ARMAGH City centre half Eoin Toal has been snapped up by League of Ireland side Derry City following the completion of the Northern Irish Football League season.
The NI youth international has impressed Brandywell boss Kenny Shiels over the last few months and last week Mairead Mackle from Homecare Independent Living met with Eoin Toal and coaches from Armagh City Football Club to wish Eoin every success in the future as he makes the transition into full-time football with Derry City in the League of Ireland.
Eoin is a product of the very successful Homecare sponsored Armagh City Youth Academy having graduated from the mini soccer to youth football before he broke into the Armagh City senior team last season.
A key member of the Armagh City National League winning team in 2015, he has developed into a Northern Ireland youth international and has captained his country, as well as becoming an ever present member of the Armagh City senior team.
His performances in Championship this season attracted the attention of teams from England, the Irish Premiership and the League of Ireland.
Kenny Shiels has recognised the potential that Eoin has and from next week Eoin will start on the latest phase of his football journey when he joins Derry City on a full-time basis.
