Terror as petrol bombers strike thumbnail

POLICE in Armagh are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house at Alexander Avenue in the early hours of Sunday September 10.
William Simmons who was in the property at the time along with Cassandra Mitchell and another man described how a brick was thrown through the window at approximately 12.40am.
"After the window was smashed a petrol bomb in a vodka bottle was thrown at the house," said William.
"The curtains were on fire but I managed to get them out before the blaze took hold.
"No-one was injured but our dog has burns on his body from the accelerant. I have lived here for two years but this is the first time something like this has happened."
Sergeant Buchanan said: "A number of men, dressed in dark clothing, were seen leaving the area on foot following the incident."
“Our enquiries are currently ongoing and I would ask anyone with any information which could assist with our investigation to contact police in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 79 10/09/17. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
