A night of celebration planned at All-Stars. thumbnail Shortlisted - Rian O’Neill.

EXCITEMENT is certainly building among Armagh Gaels as they await the inaugural Armagh GAA All-Star Awards Night which will be held in the Carrickdale Hotel on next Saturday night, December 2.

Pride of place on the honours list will be the Armagh Sports and Trophies Club Football All-Star team. Nominations for the '15' were made by clubs and the wider public and a carefully selected team of five decided on the final 15 award winners.

There were at least three players for each position considered and the process involved picking a best 15 from all three championship grades of Senior, Intermediate and Junior.

A thorough and painstakingly forensic approach was applied in the selection debate and the selection committee believe that the team of All-Stars picked is a most deserving one.

The presenting of awards doesn't end there as a host of others will win deserving awards for their contribution of gaelic games in Armagh in 2017.

The other awards include:

The Master of Ceremonies on the night will be always humorous and entertaining local legend, Jimmy Smyth, while the star guest and speaker on the night will be announced closer to the event.
