LOUGHGALL manager Dean Smith has wasted little time in making changes to his squad after the transfer window reopened on New Year's Day.

The most high profile transfer for the Lakeview Park side has been the addition of attacking midfielder Andrew Hoey.

The former Glenavon and NI youth international has joined from fierce rivals Armagh City, whom he joined in January 2014.

Hoey made his final appearance for Armagh City on Saturday as they lost 1-0 to the PSNI at Holm Park.
Smith has also made moves to increase the firepower of his side with the arrivals of Jordan Baker from Derriaghy CC and Mark McCullagh from Crewe United.

Baker is no stranger to the Irish League, having played for Ards, Portadown and Ballymena United, while McCullagh will be hoping to make his mark on the league after making the step up from Mid-Ulster Intermediate League football.

Three players have also left Lakeview Park, with two regular starters heading for the exit door.
Goalscoring right back Andy Devlin, who lives in the Maiden City, has decided to move to Drumahoe outfit Institute, while Strabane native Warner Mullen has left Lakeview Park.

Centre half Nicky Hudson has also left the Villagers and Smith confirmed to the Ulster Gazette that he will be active in January as he looks to boost the Villagers ahead of the second half of the season.

Armagh City manager Marty Rice also confirmed that he will be active in January and he has made his first move of the window, with former player Matthew Hynds returning to the club.

In other local football news, the Mid-Ulster FA have confirmed that the Mid-Ulster Cup final between City and Warrenpoint Town will take place on Tuesday, January 24 at Stangmore Park, Dungannon with a 7.45pm kick off.
