Richhill AFC at the double! thumbnailDOUBLE SUCCESS....The victorious Richhill AFC side that have secured a league and cup double.

RICHHILL AFC manager Neil Rowntree paid tribute to his players after they secured a famous league and cup double on Friday night against Craigavon City.

It took a stoppage time penalty from Davy Ross to secure the Alan Wilson Cup final against a gritty Craigavon side at Holm Park.

"It isn't about me tonight or about the club, it is about the 16 players who worked their socks off from last summer until this evening.

"Week in week out they have given their all and it is a privilege to coach them."

Davy Ross was the coolest man in the ground as he stroked home his injury time penalty and Rowntree said he had no doubt in his talented centre forward.

"He has done it before in the Irish Cup and there is no man cooler than Davy Ross for finishing penalties.

"We will now move on to preparing for life in the Intermediate A and I want to keep everyone on board and our day I know we can compete with anyone and we know that we can hold our own!

"I'm a winner and I won't accept anything else, but we will go up there and give it a real go."
