The magic of Christmas was all around Craigavon last week with the arrival of Santa Claus and the big lights switch-on at Rushmere Shopping Centre.

Thousands turned out in force to enjoy the party atmosphere and all the new decorations and characters throughout the mall for this year’s festive season.

Santa arrived on his sleigh flanked by Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Buddy the Elf before hitting the big red button with Martin Walsh, Rushmere’s Centre Manager and Alderman Gareth Wilson, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, turning the whole centre into a twinkling starlit extravaganza.

Santa will now be in his Snow House grotto until Christmas Eve where children of all ages can also post their letters in the big red post box. For a full list of Santa’s hours at Rushmere this Christmas visit www.rushmereshopping.com.
