Armagh Cricket Club has been left to count the cost after their wicket covers were damaged this week.

The club issued a statement urging anyone using the Mall during the heatwave to respect the area.

"We all love the glorious weather on the Mall and we want everyone to enjoy it but not to the detriment of our club and equipment," said a club spokesperson.

"Unfortunately this week our wicket covers have been seriously damaged by people jumping on them. Please respect the Mall area and our machinery."
