ARMAGH City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will be hosting an upcoming ‘meet the supplier’ event for local traders within the tourism sector.
Taking place on Friday 14 September from 10.00am at the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown, the half-day event will provide a unique opportunity for traders who offer a wide range of tourism related services such as accommodation, attractions, transportation, and food and drink, to come together to meet and network.
Invitees will have one-to-one business appointments with other hospitality enterprises from across the borough, which will allow them to learn and share new ideas, and potentially develop innovative and collaborative working.
Welcoming the ‘meet the supplier’ event, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Julie Flaherty commented,
“As a council we are committed to making our borough the destination of choice for visitors far and wide, which is why these types of events are so important to ensuring
we continue to provide memorable and unique visitor experiences
“This engaging platform allows local traders within the tourism sector to get to know one another better and it has the potential to create new working relationships, which will help encourage visitors to come and stay in the borough, in turn helping increase the tourism value to the local economy.”
A first in potentially a series of events, it is hoped the ‘meet the supplier’ event will help strengthen our collective efforts to promote the borough of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon on the international stage.
The ‘meet the supplier’ event will take place on Friday 14 September from 10.00am to 2.00pm at the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown.
