ARMAGH Slimming World’s Sonia Ritchie has set herself an incredible challenge of either walking, running or climbing 1000 miles in a year in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

And to continue the fundraising Sonia is holding a street collection in Armagh on December 1.

Johnny Breen, Regional Fundraiser for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, was keen to thank Sonia for undertaking her various fundraising activcities.

‘Sonia is really pushing herself in more ways than one for the Northern ilrenad Children’s Hospice. To commit to walk, run and climb 1000 miles in a year is really quite an undertaking. Not only that, but she has undertaken to fundraise in a number of other ways throughout the year, and is really throwing herself into her challenges.

I look forward to joining Sonia, her friends and family on 1 December in Armagh to collect for our charity. I know the people of Armagh will be very generous to us, and just hope the weather is equally as kind.

Ours is the only Children’s Hospice in Northern Ireland. Our nurses, doctors, counsellors, and care staff support 300 babies, children and young people with life limiting and terminal illnesses each year. Without the support of people like Sonia Ritchie, we simply could not offer our support to those in our society who so desperately need our help.

Accordingly, on behalf of NI Children’s Hospice, as well as all those children who will be helped as a direct result of Sonia’s efforts, we would like to thank her for her dedication to our charity.’
