Action from the quarter-final of the Alan Wilson Cup between Markethill Swifts and Lurgan Town.
MARKETHILL Swifts fought back from a 3-1 deficit at half-time to produce a stunning comeback and reach the semi-final of the Alan Wilson Cup.
Goals in the first-half from John Guy (2) and Henry Capper seemingly rubber stamped Town’s passage through to the next round, with Kyle Irwin pulling a goal back for the hosts.
However, changes to the formation and personnel had the desired effect as Markethill began to get a foothold in the match and they got a goal back through Neil Shaw.
The Swifts pulled level when Irwin added his second goal of the game, before Steven Hartley fired home from the edge of the box with minutes to spare to send Markethill into the semi-final of the competition.
