President's Day Prize goes to Noel Murtagh

NOEL Murtagh claimed the top prize on President’s Day, in very tough, but sunny and dry conditions.

Playing off a 9 handicap, Noel started very well with par, birdie, birdie on the first three holes, no score on the difficult 4th, and finished the first nine with 20 pts.

A miserable start to the back nine with no score at the par 5 10th hole was followed by eight consecutive pars giving him a total of 40 pts, only winning on his back nine score over Andrew Clarke, who also scored a very impressive 40 pts.

Helen Forster, back on the golf course once again, scored a magnificent 43 pts, winning the Ladies 18-hole competition with Gina Morris capturing the 9-hole prize.
