A SUMMER Fete was held at Hamilton Court Care Home in Armagh recently for residents, relatives and staff to come along and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment.

There was a musician, a balloon artist, face painting and talented chef Dennis Jannesson treated everyone to delicious burgers, salads and a variety of desserts, all cooked in the home's kitchens.

There was also a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses, including the Armagh City Hotel and Ballinhone Nursery.

Danny Dougan, Home Manager at Hamilton Court, said: “We wanted to host an occasion so that our residents and their loved ones could have some fun together. We were overwhelmed to see our community coming together on Sunday. Everyone had a brilliant time and the feedback has been really positive so we’ve agreed this will become an annual event.”

One attendee said: “We had a great time at the summer fete. It was well organised by truly amazing staff who always look after everyone so well.”

Another said: “Congratulations to Danny and all the hard working team in Hamilton Court. A brilliant, well organised day and such a lovely homely atmosphere. Well done!”

The rain also managed to stay away with the downpours coming in just as the party was coming to an end, which meant people were able to get out and enjoy the lovely courtyard.

Hamilton Court Care Home, located on Hamiltonsbawn Road in Armagh, is fully dedicated to providing round the clock specialist care for those living with dementia.
