Detectives investigating a security alert in the Keady area on Wednesday morning, 22nd October have charged two men to court.
A viable pipe bomb device was located in the rear of a vehicle after it made off from officers in the Lurgan area. It was stopped using a stinger device in Keady following an authorised pursuit.
The men, aged 22 and 37, have both been charged with possessing explosives in suspicious circumstances, driving while disqualified, using a motor vehicle without insurance, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.
The 37-year-old has also been charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
Both men are due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 24th October.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
