Air Ambulance called to 'incident' in Armagh

ONE person has been taken to hospital after the Air Ambulance was called to what was described as 'an incident' in Armagh today (Thursday, March 19).

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 11:33am following reports of of what they termed 'an incident in the Armagh area'.

It's understood to have happened in the Newry Road area.

An Ambulance service spokesperson said, "NIAS dispatched one Emergency Ambulance, one Rapid Response Paramedic and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board were also tasked to the scene.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one person was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by Ambulance."
